Attachments are files stored under an existing contract.
These files are not indexed by the system — they’re simply stored for reference.
Linked contracts are used when you want to connect multiple contracts where each file is analyzed and indexed separately.
Open a registered contract in Tagd.
Under the contract, you’ll find a section called Files.
Here you can upload any documents related to the contract — such as Excel sheets, DPAs, or other supporting files.
These files are stored as simple attachments and are not included in the system’s analysis.
If a contract with several files is submitted via email to the Tagd inbox, you will be asked to select a main file.
You can preview each file to identify which one is the main document.
When you press Save, the main file is registered and the analysis begins.
After registration:
The main file is analyzed and stored as the primary contract.
The attachments appear under the Files section of that contract.
You can always open and view any of them.
The second way to connect files is by using the main and sub contract feature.
This method is used when you want to index the contents of each linked file and keep them related within the system.
Go to the folder where the contract is located.
Open the contract you want to link.
Click Link Contract.
Choose which contract should be the main contract.
The system will show the most recently registered contracts.
You can also search by name to find the right one.
Select the main contract and click Save.
Once the contract has been linked:
A link icon will appear, indicating the relationship.
You can click the icon to see which contract it is linked to.
If you click the linked contract, you’ll be taken directly to the parent contract view,
where all connected child contracts are listed.
The system allows multiple sub contracts to be connected to one main contract,
but a contract can only have one parent contract.
Attachments: stored under a contract, not indexed.
Linked contracts: individually analyzed and indexed, with structured relationships.
You can link multiple sub contracts to one parent contract,
but each contract can only belong to one parent.
