Why this happens
The warning appears when there are two versions of the same organization registered in Tagd—for example:
John & John AB (correct)
John and John AB (misspelled)
Both represent the same company, but because one of them is registered as a counterparty, Tagd prevents you from creating a duplicate.
Step by Step: Fix the Problem
1. Identify the Duplicate Organization
Open your Tagd account.
Go to the Counterparties section.
Find the organization that appears twice or is misspelled.
2. Find the Connected Agreement
Click the incorrect counterparty name.
Open the agreement linked to this counterparty.
Click Edit in the agreement.
3. Correct the organization
In the agreement editor, go to the Parties section.
Under Own organization, select the correct organization.
Before removing the incorrect counterparty, copy its name (the misspelled version).
Remove the incorrect counterparty from the agreement.
Click Save.
The agreement is now linked to the correct organization.
4. Remove the duplicate counterparty
Go back to the Counterparties list.
You will still see the incorrect company name in the list, but it no longer has any agreements associated with it.
Select it using the checkbox.
Click Delete to remove the duplicate.
5. Add an alias for future matches
To prevent this issue from occurring again, add the incorrect spelling as an alias for your organization.
Go to My Organisation → Own Organisations.
Click your organization.
In the Alias field, enter the alternative spelling.
Click the plus sign (+) and then Save.
Tagd will now automatically recognize both spellings as the same organization in future analyses and registrations.
