Major changes this release that will help you and your organization to make it even easier to take control of your contracts and put them on auto-pilot. The two key take-aways are:
We have now added a “Default User” user to all organizations. Instead of our system trying to be smart and always suggest a contract owner, we’ll instead use this “Default User” whenever we aren’t fully certain from the meta data extraction whom to set.
We have replaced the “Status” signaling system with “States” which will put focus the contract’s state in its life-cycle. If we from the mata data extraction can’t certainly say what state the contract should have, we’ll set it to “Unknown”.
We highly encourage everyone to watch this instruction video which highlights these changes, and then read the release notes below.
Key improvementsTo ensure every contract always has a valid owner:
A Default User is now created automatically for each organization.
Contracts without a matching real user will be assigned to this Default User.
The Default User can’t be removed and only the email can be updated.
Contracts now use clearer states to show their current status:
Active – the contract is currently valid.
Expired – the contract has passed its end date without action.
Unknown – the end period can’t be determined.
Terminated – you have manually terminated the contract.
Ended – the contract reached its end date after being terminated.
These states will help you quickly understand the status of all your agreements.
