All contracts uploaded in Tagd end up under the Contracts tab. Here, contracts are organized in folders – a flexible way to structure, filter, and control access.
When you upload a contract, it first ends up in the Inbox folder, unless you've placed it in another folder.
The Inbox is always included as standard and shows all unregistered contracts.
---
If you don't use folders, registered contracts are placed right under the root, meaning a list view with no structure.
You can work like that, but we recommend using folders for better control and permission management.
To create a new folder:
1. Click on "New folder"
2. Enter a name, e.g. "HR"
3. The folder is created and shows up right away in the folder list
Once the folder is created you can set specific permissions:
By default only administrators have access to new folders.
You can give permission to groups or individual users.
Role | Permission |
Editor | Can edit all contract data in the folder |
Viewer | Can only read, but not change or delete data |
1. Click "Edit folder"
2. Choose users or groups
- Icons stand for users (person) and groups (group icon)
3. Click "Add" to assign a permission
4. Finish by clicking "Save"
You can create subfolders for extra structure.
Subfolders inherit permissions from their parent folder automatically. If you want, you can change or extend permissions for subfolders too.
